Welcome to Blackbird Art Studio and Kitchen!
My goal is to create gourmet foods at a reasonable price. Cooking for others is my passion and I am always trying to think of new and creative recipes! I am currently selling my products at the Downtown Canton Farmer's Market in the Canton square. They will also be available at The Soul Food Market, located inside of Yawn's Book store downtown, across the street from the Canton Theater!
I make my all my foods fresh each week and only buy the freshest ingredients. All of my herbs and produce are bought locally from the Farmer's Market or from my own garden.
Blackbird Kitchen Status
Hello Everyone! This has been such a busy year for me! I am now back in business! I recently got married and now that I'm through with wedding planning I can get back to work making all your favorite products! I got a new pasta maker as a wedding gift which will definitely make things run much more smoothly.
I have been experimenting with lots of new recipes to present at this year's Farmer's Market! I am working on several gluten-free recipes and also many more organic and low fat recipes.
I will also be getting some much needed help from my new husband and my ten year old this summer! We will be offering fresh breads, granola, cereal, and also homemade ice cream! We hope to see you all this year!

Fresh Homemade Granola...Great in yogurt, as a cereal, or just grab a handful for a quick snack!
Rachel's Favorite Mixed Cereal.....A mix of old-fashioned rolled oats, homemade granola, chopped dates, walnuts, almonds, flaxseed meal, and wheat germ. Very healthy and SO good!
Art Studio
Along with cooking, I am also a painter. I have been drawing and painting most of my life and it is a huge passion of mine. I have been a part of the Riverfest Arts and Crafts Festival selling my paintings. I can do oils on canvas, watercolor, or acrylic. My best sellers have been my window paintings and my wood signs. For my windows, I buy antique windows and mostly paint landscapes or skylines on them; but I've also recreated movie posters and photos on them. My signs are usually holiday themed but I have also done popular phrases or decorative name plates-they're great as a teacher gift!
These items make great gifts or will look great hanging on your own wall at home! This year I am trying to do some Christmas scenes on windows, they are so beautiful! I am also going to paint some wooden vintage Christmas signs, I love these to hang in the kitchen or bathroom!
I can also recreate photographs into paintings or pencil drawings. I started out doing these for my family and friends as gifts but I now take special orders. You send me the photo and I can turn it into a priceless piece of art!
